Patient Portal for Mobile Devices – Live
Smart Health is proud to announce our Smart Patient Portal. The Smart Patient Portal enables patients to access their clinical records on smart phones and tablet computers. This development is the final component of our Victorian Government-funded BEIP-2 project to improve access to care for people with cystic fibrosis living in regional areas. This first release of the Patient Portal is a limited pilot program that supports access to clinical data and patient consultations. Subject to success of the pilot, the Patient Portal is intended to become part of a broader Monash eHealth Alliance solution for mobile devices, including support for deployment to other groups of chronic disease patients – including those with cancer.
The Smart Health Patient Portal provides patients with real-time access to diagnostic results, medications, demographic data, conditions and procedures – and allows patients to create and save their own notes.
The patient portal is an important step in the evolution of clinical information systems that empower patients to manage their health by providing them with more timely, more accurate and more comprehensive information about their treatment programs.
This project is led by Professor John Wilson, head of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at Alfred Health, Professor in Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and head of the Monash Alliance, a consortium of clinicians and ehealth solution providers that are affiliated with Monash University.
